Colin Dunmore set up Oracle Elm Meadow in the spring of 2017 after spending more than a decade inside large consultancies where the distance between the people doing the thinking and the people doing the work kept growing. He had watched well-designed programmes stall because nobody had drawn a clear line between the strategy document and the team responsible for delivering it. The name came from a field near where he grew up, a place where things grew slowly and in a particular order, which felt like the right image for the kind of work he wanted to do.
